Our award winning development team has built over 100 mobile apps across multiple categories in the past 10 years. Delivering 30 million downloads for our own apps (plus millions more for client products).
To create engaging apps that drive revenue, it requires ongoing work from an expert team. Our team is set up to work on all areas of the app lifecycle from design to front and backend development and data analysis.
We use leading cross-platform development environments, as well as developing native iOS and Android solutions. This allows us to get you in front of 99% of the world’s mobile audience. Our solutions have helped clients such as Liverpool Football Club, The Science Museum and MyCognition.
Fat Fish has over 10 years development experience in cross-platform tools, as well as in native iOS and Android development. We work closely with our clients in a range of ways: we have UI & UX capability in-house, or we can provide you with just a development resource.
We have vast experience integrating with back-end API’s to read/write data from mobile client applications. We also have integration experience with a vast range of third-party toolkits, including analytics, ads and social networks.
You'll be in contact with our in-house project manager who has direct contact with our development team, and is available at any time to liaise between you and the developers. Project managers are up-to-date with the current project status, whilst bug tracking is managed via frequent updates from the development team using real-time defect tracking software.
We also have an in-house QA team who have accumulated over 7 years experience in the mobile industry, including our Head of Product, who was previously a team lead at top test house - Babel Media.

MyCognition is a science based business dedicated to the understanding, measurement and improvement of cognitive fitness through a range of web and mobile applications.
Our work with MyCognition includes development & design support for the MyCQ assessment (Mobile - iOS/ Android & web) and AquaSnap training game apps as well as taking our data analysis experience from optimising games to solve data problems for the MyCognition team.Data Analysis
Our data work with MyCognition required us to create an updated method to take users raw test data and generate a MyCQ score between 0 & 100 for different age bands from 5-60+ years of age. We then generated a function that could be periodically updated by MyCognition to regenerate these scoring bands.
Liverpool FC Match & News Centre is a mobile application for fans to receive the latest news, video highlights, podcasts, fixtures and live match day results.
In collaboration with Liverpool FC's digital team, we carried out the UI/UX design for their iOS and Android application. Using our in-house middleware platform, we were able to release the app on to multiple platforms and carry out content changes without an app update.
Our team developed the back-end platform to pull content in from multiple sources (such as Liverpool data feeds) and render content within the application. Analytics and push notification SDK integration were also included during development.
Integration of in-app subscription systems allowed users to subscribe to premium content, such as audio commentary and additional match highlight videos.
